Our Story
Jaida's Clayworks was founded in 2021 by Jaida Simental. Her ceramics journey began during her junior year of high school and quickly grew into a lasting passion for the craft. After graduating, she continued working out of a shed-turned-studio in her parents’ backyard with the goal of selling her work full-time. That goal soon shifted when she began teaching part-time ceramics classes for kids at a local studio. Through teaching, Jaida discovered a love for sharing her knowledge and a desire to make the art form that changed her life accessible to others.
With over five years of teaching experience and more than 500 students taught across a range of skill levels, Jaida is now embarking on her newest chapter: opening her own community studio. Located in Hur Industrial Park in Cedar Park, Texas, the studio offers over 2,000 square feet of creative space, including 10+ pottery wheels, two electric kilns, and ample shelving.
In addition to a variety of pottery classes, the studio also features fine art painting and drawing classes held in a separate classroom. These are taught by fellow instructor Abraham Brown, whom Jaida previously worked with at another studio.
At Jaida's Clayworks, our goal is to create an accessible and inclusive space that encourages everyone to explore their creativity. We invite you to explore, create, and grow with us.

I take pottery classes with Jaida Simental in a small group with other adults. Jaida is a great, patient and insightful teacher. The studio is nice and spacious. Pottery turned out to be a very relaxing and mindful activity. I really enjoy the time I spend here. She has classes for kids too.
